RadarScope is a specialized display utility for weather enthusiasts and meteorologists that allows you view NEXRAD Level 3 and Super-Resolution radar data along with Tornado, Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood Warnings, and predicted storm tracks issued by the U.S. National Weather Service. It can display the latest reflectivity, velocity, dual-polarization, and other products from any NEXRAD or TDWR radar site in the United States, Guam and Puerto Rico, as well as reflectivity and velocity data from Environment Canada radars, and two radars in South Korea. These aren't smoothed PNG or GIF images, this is native radar data rendered in its original radial format for a high level of detail.

Whether you are scanning reflectivity for a mesocyclone's tell-tale hook echo, trying to pinpoint the landfall of a hurricane's eye wall, or looking for small features like velocity couplets in the storm relative radial velocity product, RadarScope gives you the power to view true radial NEXRAD weather radar on your Android device.

RadarScope displays tornado, severe thunderstorm, and flash flood warnings issued by the U.S. National Weather Service. When warnings are in effect, you can tap the warning button in the upper right corner to browse the list of active warnings, select a warning to view the details, and even zoom to the selected warning on the map. (Not available in Canada).

Pinch or stretch to zoom in and out. Drag your finger around the map to scroll. Tap the radar sweep button in the toolbar to switch radars. Select one of the 156 different NEXRAD radar sites and 45 Terminal Doppler radars in the US, 30 other radar sites in Canada, and 2 in the Republic of Korea. Plot your current location by tapping the location button and optionally report it to the Spotter Network. Tap the play button to download and animate over recent images. Display the names of over 25,000 cities and towns on the map as you zoom and scroll. Tap and hold the color legend to see the data values. Meanwhile, RadarScope will retrieve and display updated data automatically and intelligently (approximately every 2 to 10 minutes, depending on the radar scan strategy).

You can display data from NOAA's public access web site, our optional WDT feed (the default), or your AllisonHouse subscriber account. Spotter Network members can report their location and view the locations of other spotters.

The RadarScope Pro subscription is an optional add-on data set. It provides access to real-time lightning data that animates along with the radar loop and up to 20 frames of radar data, including *extended loops* of Super-Res Level 2 data. Super-Res Level 2 data is still available to all RadarScope users without purchasing a subscription.

RadarScope Pro subscribers can also access a data interrogation tool to quickly determine data values for specific radar pixels and an optional dual-pane mode for viewing two radar products side-by-side.

Excellent app I would give a 5 star if the radars would update more seamlessly. Ive had on countless occasions were the rader didn't refresh and the data was 10+ minutes old. Hard to track a storm and utilize the true value of this app when hiccups like this happen.

Pretty Good Great images, sources, and options. Clunky, gradient-filled UI with a steep learning curve. I can't believe $10 doesn't get you a radar widget. iOS version got Apple Watch support from day one, yet Android Platform features like widgets, Android Wear, Material Design animations, notifications, and more are nowhere to be seen. Compare to Wunderground's Storm app on iOS... delightful animations, understandable UI... Radarscope has great data, but is far from a joy to use.

This apathy also miss app that I ever had and it's a great weather app Pretty good the weather at in and its awesome so I'm going to keep this up and I'm on a recommended to family and friends

Fantastic Application By far the best weather radar app on the market, it worked great on my iPhone 4 and works great on my Galaxy S5. The one feature I would to see is the ability to activate/use multiple radar sites to get a better image. Other than that this radar is by far the best. Thank you creators for making such a wonderful application!

Excellent radar app App is darn near perfect for detailed radar data and very easy to use. Do wish it included hail size, meso, and TVS indicators, like PYKL3. Love the super-res radar product, but a smoothing option would be nice. With this app you can interpret severe weather just like the pros on tv, to keep everyone safe at any time. Well worth it!

The Best Weather Radar Available I am a Flight Paramedic for an Air Medical service. This app provides more up to date and accurate radar data than the Nexrad radar program on our Garmin G1000 cockpit display. Our pilots have informed me it can take upwards to 5 min to download radar data on the Garmin and it could be 30 minutes old. Radarscope is instant and up to the minute accurate. This kind of critical weather information is imperative to safe air medical operations.

Best Radar for Android Hands Down Works flawlessly. Has Spotter Network and Allison House integration. Warning trapezoids have touch interface, selectable tilts, and dual polarity is supported. Five star app that's worth every penny.

Eric Ruzanski at April 1, 2015

Best app ever made! Use this almost everyday! Gives me access to unbelievable radar imagery!

Brian Boyer at May 1, 2015

Excellent and Practical I learned about this app at the SkyWarn symposium, all of the meteorologist speaking there were using it. This is the best app by far for real-time radar and warnings. Also does dual-pole. Excellent app.

Daniel Mastro at May 13, 2015

Great app Great had a tornado the other day. It's comforting knowing what to look for to spot possible tornados. I changed my rating to five stars after being informed of why there is extra cost after the app is purchased.

Emily Daigle at April 4, 2015

Includes CANADA! Extremely Powerful! I have tried several radar apps, but this one blew them out of the water with its power & ease of use. I'm a weather nerd (proudly) I like being able to plan for my days out, I also have many friends who use this app, who are actually professional weather forecasters.

donald holben at April 9, 2015

Not bad Works ok I prefer pykl3 these guys never respond here but the second time im asking to refund my purchase!

Alec Halverson at April 9, 2015

Weather Geek Approved! ;D Absolutely love this application! Thank you for creating such an awesome tool for us storm enthusiasts and weather geeks! One option I would love to see is a regional option!! 5 stars all around!

Robert Lucas at April 13, 2015

Lightning counter Next update please include a lightning counter, it would be useful

Hundred Clip 88 at April 10, 2015

Great.. Lighting fast on G3! No problems at all. Not cheap to buy, but blows away anything I have tried yet. Awesome just awesome. To all the haters keep hating. LOL

kristopher nelson at April 8, 2015

Good but more room for improvement I'm a volunteer firefighter most of the September members have the free ones but can't get the additional radar like base velocities and correlation coefficient i used this application and pyk3l on the day of the pilger Nebraska and Coleridge tornados to track relative tracking things I'd like too see is cape and cap readings along and maybe satellite imaging if possible

David Wallis at May 2, 2015

Great app, since being a storm stopper this works

Joseph Nield at April 12, 2015

Almost perfect Would be great with better storm relative motion and ability to set a custom storm motion.

Eric Hoover at April 9, 2015

Perfect radar If you are looking for a non beginner radar this is it.

Jason Dailey at April 26, 2015

Wonderful app How about warnings for spotters that have their beacons on, and are within the polygon of a tornado warned cell? Beneficial for spotters in the field.
