Picross Madness, are picture logic puzzles in which cells in a grid must be colored according to numbers at the side of the grid to reveal a hidden picture. The numbers are a form of discrete tomography that measures how many unbroken lines of filled-in squares there are in any given row or column.

Ok but small things need fixing The controls to toggle between fill and empty pencils are too small and too close to the ads. Makes it too difficult to play without getting redirected by the ad. The contrast between the empty pencil colour and unfilled colour is not high enough. It's hard to tell the difference on harder levels. Other than that, it is a great offer of over 600 boards for free plus they do not require any special permissions which is awesome.

A puzzle extraordinaire This is minesweeper for a new age. Spend time studying the numbers and your success will be rewarded with the pixelized image you solved. It's addicting and the levels are perfect washroom length. Good luck when you get to the bigger levels though.

Poor puzzle design I'm a big fan of picross games, but the puzzles in this one have been designed by someone who doesn't seem to understand the rules. There are some puzzles, even small ones, where you get to a dead end and are forced to take a guess. Picross is logical by it's nature and should never be ambiguous but some of these puzzles just leave you guess which of the two equally correct solutions is the "real" one.

Trish Veytia at March 16, 2015

Too small The puzzles were too small so easy errors occur. With no way to enlarge the grids, it just wasn't fun.

Picross madness It gives you hours of fun, great puzzles and virus free!

Angela McLean at June 11, 2014

Basic I like the game, I just wish the pictures were more complex

Trevor Behlman at June 29, 2014

Simple, sleek Thus game is a pleasure to play, unlike similar games on the play store. Bigger buttons would turn my four star rating into a five star rating.

Big selection, bad UI The UI is a little confusing at first with two pencils in lower right, hearts in lower left and pattern in top left. Even when you figure out what they do they are hard to tap on my Nexus 5 because they are so small. Many of the later puzzles require random guesses, often making you have to do the whole puzzle over again.

Great picross app I love the number of puzzles but it is lacking one feature from the PC flash version. The pen overwrites the pencil instead of the pencil blocking the pen from writing in that square. It would also be nice if there were a no guidance mode with no health but it doesn't mark errors. Edit: Been a long time without an update to the UI. Better off with Nemo instead as they have an "expert mode" and non-overwritable marls for empty spaces. Really wish they would make a better ui for this.

So much better than I ever expected I never write reviews. I'm terrible that way. But this game is ridiculously amazing. I love it

Simple yet fun Very good game to whip out when your only have a few seconds to play. I use it while waiting to be picked up by the work van.

Great game but please make the buttons bigger.

Would give 5 but on larger one can zoom boxes and numbers to small. Would like to be able to zoom.

Nice Job! Need more puzzles! And maybe add an option for color choice? I like blue, but sometimes purple is more fun, or relaxing... Awesome

Adrian Tan at Jan. 23, 2014

Permission problems Game is free as u said Game is adfree as u said So why is there a need for the network permission EDIT: Ohhhhhhhhhh, thanks for the quick response, back to 5 stars. Maybe it could be added to the description? And maybe you could implement a zoom function (pinch to zoom). However, I still feel it can be smoother if implemented natively instead of using Adobe Air

Kim Heatley at Feb. 1, 2014

Fun! Wish it wouldn't over write the x's and that the numbers would light up when complete. otherwise love this game

Best free picross app I've come across so far But still needs a lot of tweaks. It would be nice if one black squares are placed, blue ones can't be placed over them. A lot of times I lose lives just because it can't tell where my finger is. Also, it might be nice if the pencil buttons were just a bit larger. Otherwise, quite nice and sleek! Looking forward to more updates and hopefully even bigger puzzles :)
