Doesn't work with Lollipop stopped working when phone upgraded to Lollipop 5.1 OS.

Matt McDowall at March 20, 2015

OK, but could stand some improvements Works at a basic level -- connects fine, offers most of the functionality you'd expect. My biggest issue is that it doesn't deal well with large playlists, at all. Takes forever to display the list, and sometimes just fails to do so. And don't even try to scroll down the list -- it takes forEVER.

Doesn't work with latest Android 5.1 update :-( Been using this app for awhile on multiple phones and my Nexus 7 across multiple versions of Android. But Google pushed out a maintenance version for Android 5.1 (Build Number LMY47D) on my Nexus 7 last night, and the app no longer works. Won't connect to LMS, and doesn't render properly on the tablet.

Ian Manning at Aug. 5, 2014

Nice, but connection timeout issues Nice interface, but the first request that it sends to LMS every day always results in a connection timeout (I guess the server takes a little longer to respond as it's spinning up the internal HDD after a period of inactivity). This does rather spoil the overall experience. Maybe the connection timeout in this app could be set to higher value?

Bug prevents working on my JellyBean Acer tablet Used to work very well, but now can't see local Squeeze Server. No menu appears after touching menu button. I see this was a known bug a year or two back. At a loss to explain why it has returned, rendering the controller useless on this machine.

Epic! Less than a minute after downloading I was playing music off my Squeezebox. So much more convenient to use on my tablet than on my laptop. Nice layout that's includes album art and is easy to navigate. A little laggy.

Worked great earlier but now it has stopped working completely. This app worked beautifully and I used it very much but now all of a sudden it is not working. I think that this app is not Lollipop compatible as it is not working on my wife's phone also.

Frustrating When it works it's great. However it constantly loses the Touch over the WiFi for no apparent reason. Always present on the router, but the Touch isn't seen by the server software. Beginning to regret buying this. Galaxy S3

Robust and works Works very well and seems robust across three squeeze devices. Flicker of album art on play screen is the most visible fault. I still use it lots though.

A Google User at May 16, 2012

Flickering album art! Was great! Now the album art flickers in time with the song progess bar on my HTC pyramid. Really annoying please sort it. Other than that really good bit of software but please also make it possible to rearrange playlist via drag and drop.

Used to be good Happily used this beautiful app on Desire for years. On my new HTC One S with ICS ... It flickers and does not show the album covers at playback. The screen navigation is bad, I almost always land on the app home screen. I hope Logitech will fix, but pessimistic since they seem to kill the Squezebox product line ...

Paul Gordash at Jan. 19, 2014

Does not work with KitKat! Updated my phone and tablet to KitKat now the app will not connect to the server. Had to install a 3rd party app to listen to my squeezeboxes. Very disappointing.

Mark Ridgwell at April 16, 2014

Only shows a licence agreement With no buttons anywhere on the screen to accept our decline. Ended up having to remove it

Ok - but has layout problems This, in general, works. Compared with the best of the alternatives it does seem to hang on to the connection better than they do. It falls down in two areas: (1) Doesn't adjust very well to the orientation of the tablet. You have to use "settings" to tell it whether to be in landscape or portrait mode (there are alternative apps that can do this automatically). Even when you have done that it only has one direction per mode i.e. it decides what is up and down rather than let the OS decide. The result for me is that in portrait mode the whole app runs upside down and cannot be coerced to right itself. (2) In landscape mode the text impinges heavily on top of the cover art, effectively obscuring it. This seems unnecessary when there is a whole half screen to the side that is mostly unused and could house all that stuff leaving the cover art unspoiled.

Broken with lollipop 5.1 Sorry guys, it's probably not you're fault that it doesn't work on the latest Android, but you HAVE to fix this! Please let us know by replying to our posts that a fix is planned, and restore our hope. :-)

Used to be fine Problems on ICS that never used to he there. Major annoyance is flickering of playback screen. Still controls player, but very annoying as this is now effectively the default controller.

A Google User at Aug. 26, 2012

Needs ux update The navigation is terrible... three or four clicks to get back to the menu. I love being able to control my Squeezebox though. Remote function works great. Bad ux/ui won't stop me from using it. I'd love to see them improve it though.

Great needs search fix Great APP. Only downside is I can not use the search function. I can get to the search screen but after I input my title/song/artist there is no physical "search" button to push!! Other than that and a frozen screen from time to time it is great.

A Google User at Sept. 12, 2012

Very good remote control I use this app on my HTC Thunderbolt and it works very well. It is very handy to have a way to control playback, add songs, and most importantly - adjust the volume of my squeezeboxes. The best part is that I can be anywhere around the house, or around the whole yard when I do this. I have outdoor speakers and it's a pain to have to run inside everytime I want to skip a song or raise the volume for a song. With this app, all I have to do is take my phone with me! The only problem I have is that the main menu sometimes disappears and won't return so can no longer add songs, only control the playback of the current playlist. Otherwise this is a fabulous app - almost five stars!

Please sort for Ics Ok controller, but flickers and blank screens in ice cream sandwich. Could be more intuitive, and I'd rather not have splash screens (I've all ready bought your products) and exit confirmations (we're not in the 90s now).
